3rd Annual Women & Minority Business Summit Returns with Theme: “Freedom to Do Business”
Celebrating Juneteenth with Empowerment, Education, and Mental Wealth for North Carolina Entrepreneurs
Graham, NC – June 19, 2025 – The Women & Minority Owned Small Business Summit is back for its 3rd year, continuing its mission to empower entrepreneurs of all backgrounds across North Carolina. Held on Thursday, June 19 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Auditorium at Alamance Community College, Main Building Room 301, located at 1247 Jimmie Kerr Road, Graham, NC 27258, this powerful summit is free and open to the public, with registration available at: https://www.ncsbc.net/workshop.aspx?ekey=10450043.
This year’s theme, “Freedom to Do Business,” honors Juneteenth while creating space for business owners at every stage—whether launching, growing, or scaling—to access the tools they need to thrive. Curated by Give It To The People, the event will feature an inspiring lineup of workshops, resources, and expert-led sessions focused on marketing, finance, human resources, participatory mentorship, and Mental Wealth.
“This summit is about making sure freedom isn’t just a concept—it’s a reality in business,” says Chisa Pennix-Brown, Chief Curator of Give It To The People and featured speaker at the event. “We’re cultivating a space where people—especially women and BIPOC entrepreneurs—can walk away with knowledge, connections, and confidence to grow a business that reflects who they are and where they want to go. We want to help people build self-sustaining, repeatable models for success.”
In addition to traditional business development sessions, the summit will also offer specialized programming for individuals with judicial involvement who are now pursuing entrepreneurship as a fresh start and a new future.
Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur or an experienced business owner, this event provides a space to grow, connect, and build community with like-minded leaders and change-makers across the state.
